Here we have compiled all information about our inclusions and exclusions, about what's included and excluded from the trip's itinerary.

what's Included

Transfers

Our drivers will collect you from the Hotel or the Airport on the morning of departure. If you arrive the day before we can assist you and arrange a transfer from the Airport to your hotel for you, please let us know when confirming your booking. 

Please note that for either the Komodo or the Raja Ampat itineraries we strongly advise you to arrive the day before your trip. If you arrive later and miss the departure of the trip, then an additional charge would be required for you to hire a private boat to catch up with La Galigo.

 

Crew and Itinerary

La Galigo has a crew of around 17 people to ensure that your adventure is perfect and well planned out, You can see the different itineraries we have in Raja Ampat and Komodo on our website. 

Please note that although we have planned itineraries on our site, these may vary depending on weather conditions and dive site accessibility.

 

Accommodation

La Galigo has 7 Cabins, which are capable of comfortably sleeping 14 people, each cabin comes with its own bathroom with fresh hot water showers, plenty of storage and Air Conditioning.

We have 4 Deluxe Cabins located on the lower deck, and 2 Master Cabins and The Suite on the Upper Deck. The Suite comes with a 48″ TV, private lounge as well as your own private balcony for enjoying the view.

There is also a very large sundeck on the roof with shading and very comfortable bean bags to relax and watch the world go by.

 

Meals and Snacks

La Galigo offers a mix of Asian and Western Style food. All food is buffet style, which is prepared by our awesome chef Dede. We start the day with a self serve breakfast to get you going and then a full breakfast, Lunch and then Dinner in the Evening. There is also free Tea and Coffee as well as refillable fresh water.

If you have any special dietary requirements, then this is not a problem, we can cater for Vegans, Vegetarians, people with allergies and more.

 

Diving & Equipment

During your time with La Galigo, we will complete around 4 dives a day, except on the first and penultimate days as this is only 1 to 2 dives. 

We generally do 3 day dives starting around 07:00 – 07:30 and 1 Night Dive.

We include all snorkel equipment for free during your adventure.

 

Guests & Dive Guides

La Galigo can easily manage 14 guests during their trips, and these guests are split between 3 dive guides, making 3 groups. 

We generally arrange groups of people depending on buddies, experience and certification levels, this ensures that everyone has the most amount of fun. 

If you require a private guide we can prearrange this for you or if you feel like you need one after you arrive then this is also not a problem.

 

Medical Supplies

La Galigo is equipped with a full stock of Basic First Aid supplies, We can take care of Cuts, Bruises, Ear Infections, Upset Stomachs, Burns and more.

 

Emergency Oxygen

In the case that you need emergency oxygen during your time with La Galigo, we have around 12 hours worth of supply, this is more than enough in a medical emergency and if you need medical evacuation.

Park Fees

We charge the following additional fees to cover Indonesian national marine park fees, local area access fees, harbour fees, anchorage fees, and land-based activities that require donations.

Below are the current estimated fee costs for our scheduled trips. Please note, these fees are subject to change in line with supplier/provider costs at anytime. These fees are valid until May 2024. For additional information please contact La Galigo  via email at [email protected]

Fuel Surcharges

Fuel surcharges are in place for trips currently running due to the high fuel cost forced by unforeseen global circumstances such as the war in Ukraine. More information will be available closer to your trip. 

Fuel surcharges (may fluctuate with markets) you may be asked to pay an extra fuel allowance of up to 30 days before departure, of no more than US$20 per person per day)

Diving Equipment

Full equipment rental per day: $35 Per Day

BCD, Regulators, Wetsuit, Computer, Fins & Boots, Mask & Snorkel, Safety Marker Buoy (SMB) with reel, and Reef Hook.

 

Alchohol & Snacks

La Galigo sells locally crafted beer onboard and can be purchased from $3 per can (Komodo and $5 per can (raja Ampat).

We also import Red and White Wine which is $40 per bottle. We do welcome you to bring your own spirits onboard as well and there are no corkage charges for this.

Crew Tips

La Galigo’s crew works extremely hard to ensure you have the best experience you can during your time with us. At the end of the trip we will give you an envelope that if you feel you had a great time, you could show your appreciation. This is then sealed and shared equally among the crew. 

As a general rule-of-thumb, many of our guests base their tips around 10% of the cost of the trip. Tipping is optional but greatly appreciated!

Scuba Diving Courses

If you wish to extend the adventure and advance your diving skills then La Galigo offers a couple of options onboard for you.

Please note all theory is completed via PADI’s Elearning and the practical, all paperwork and certifications are carried out onboard.

⦿ PADI Advanced Open Water Course: $600

⦿ PADI Nitrox Course: $330

⦿ Daily Private Tuition/Guiding: $100/day

Domestic Flights & Visas

Indonesia offers a one-month, non extendable visa which is free for 169 different countries. This will allow you to have a maximum of 30 days travel time in Indonesia, if how ever you wish to stay longer, then on arrival you can purchase an extendable Visa.

For all guests departing on itineraries located in Raja Ampat, the price includes Waisai ferry crossing. The ferry departs at 9am and arrives in Waisai at 11:00am.
